We visited Adelaide River 2 days before Anzac day. As with any war memorial cemetry, it was a very moving place. coll
I don't think the kids were too keen, but I thought it would be good for the kids to see a class in session at the Kathering school of the Air. It was very interesting how they don't use radios anymore, they use the computer, so it's pretty much Interactive Learning now. The kids get into their school uniforms when they are doing schooling, so they differentiate between school time and farming time etc. Every friday morning they all sing the national anthem and when it is school holidays they actually come into town and have classes in the local school. They also have students who are on the road for 6-12 months. Maybe I should have enrolled shannon & callum! coll
We dedicate this entry to Greg! We stayed in Gregory National Park for one night. We stayed at Big Horse Creek. "Big Horse" is another word for a barramundi over one metre long. That night a very drunk aboriginal came to our camp site and asked mum if she had a cigarette. Mum said she didn't. He then asked if we had one!!! Mum said to him we were only kids. He had a broken fork. callum

Top photo is the anzac day dawn service at Kununurra.
Bottom photo is the the very huge Lake Argle.

Kununurra is just over the border from NT in WA. We went to the outdoor cinema. You sit on deck chairs outside. We saw "Confessions of a Shopaholic. I really enjoyed it. Shannon I thought it was alright, but still, it's a girls movie. Callum
